About me

Info

Since I thought you might be curious about who P.o. Prune is, I have added a little information about myself.

I'm a guy who lives in Denmark. My interest in IF, or adventure games as it was known back then, started in the early 80's. A friend of mine got his hands on a ZX81, and although it had to be hooked up to the TV, and the graphics were terrible, it was still facinating to see what you could do. Soon Sinclair launched his ZX 48K Spectrum and things started moving forward. My friends and I started playing games and one day we got our hands on a game called “the Hobbit” and that was it for me. We spent countless evenings playing this game and when I, a little later, got my own “computer” I went on the lookout for more games. “Mountains of Ket” was the first game I solved all by my self. Then followed. “Inca Curse” -
I began to want to make my own games and when “the Quill” was launched, I bought it and was son busy creating games of my own. Later I tried G.A,C. [Graphic Adventure Creator] which allowed graphics. Unfortunately the Spectrum didn't live forever and it became time to move on. The next step was an Amiga 500 with yet a bigger selection of adventure games. Now, Sierra-Online was on the market, and the adventures had moved from text and still pictures to the player controlling a character that moved around the screen. I found an adventure creator called AMOS, and was soon happy creating games for the Amiga. Then the Amiga went out of business, and once again I had to look around. I think my first pc was a 286, but although I looked around (it was before the internet) I didn't find any kind of adventure generator. Not until I stumbled over Adrift. Since then this has been my favorite generator and with the new V.5 Developer things has really leaped forward.
